ACHAARI DAAL AND IT’S RECIPE
Achaari Daal is a mouthwatering, delicious, spicy and with the flavor of achaar. This Achaari Daal is most favorite daal among all those who love to eat daal in any way and also loved by all vegetarians.
Achaari Daal is tangy, spicy, aromatic and pickle flavored daal done with baghar/tarka that most of us cant wait and resist without eating it. It is a daal dish prepared in pickle.
It goes perfect with jeera rice, roti and dry curry. This special Daal Tadka is very famous in all parts of India specially U.P and Punjab. Its very easy to prepare. You have to add 2-3 pieces of pickle with masala into the cooker along with raw daal and water. Here’s how you can make it-
1. Take 200gm of your favourite soaked daal/lentils, add 500 ml water, add 2-3 pieces of dry mango pickle with masala. Cook on low flame till lentil/daal is tender.
2. Heat oil in a pan, add 2 chopped onion and fry till golden brown.
3. Add 1 tbsp. ginger garlic paste, 2 chopped tomatoes, 1 tsp. chili powder, ¼ tsp. turmeric, ¼ tsp. jeera and ½ tsp. coriander powder. Fry well for 1 – 2 minutes. Add this tadka to cooked daal. Add salt for taste.
4. Lastly add ½ tsp garam masala.
5. Sprinkle with 1 tbsp. coriander leaves and serve hot.
